Black and white portrait of Sydney wedding photographer Anne-Mari

Hi, I’m Anne-Mari

Sydney wedding photographer, storyteller, and a big believer that your wedding doesn’t need to be big to be meaningful.

I photograph intimate weddings and elopements in Sydney and across NSW, with a relaxed, documentary approach and a little editorial polish.

My goal is simple — for you to feel completely yourselves, enjoy your day, and come away with photographs that feel like it.

I chose an intimate wedding too

When my husband and I got married, we chose to keep our wedding small and meaningful - and I loved it.

There was no pressure to create a huge production or follow traditions that didn’t feel like us. We could focus on the people we loved and actually be present for the day.

That experience is a big part of why I love photographing intimate weddings and elopements today - celebrations that feel personal, relaxed and completely your own.

My approach

You don’t need to know how to pose or be comfortable in front of a camera.

Most of my couples tell me they feel awkward having their photo taken — and that’s completely normal.

I’ll give you gentle direction when you need it, but I won’t spend your wedding day constantly posing you.

Instead, I’m looking for the little things: the nervous smile before the ceremony, your hands finding each other, your parents’ reactions and the wind catching your veil

The moments you didn’t even realise I was photographing often become the ones you love most.

A little about me

I’m originally from Estonia and now call Sydney home.

When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find me with my husband Ben, our twin girls Astrid and Evelin, and our two ragdoll cats, Küpsi and Lenny.

I love travelling, beautiful light, oysters, champagne and photographs that feel more like memories than perfectly posed pictures.

And yes, after years behind the camera, I still get ridiculously excited when the light is just right.

Planning something small and meaningful?

Whether you’re eloping by Sydney Harbour, getting married at the registry, or bringing your favourite people together for an intimate celebration, I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
